Here is Brief Information on My Name.. SANTOSH…

Santosh (Hindi: or Sanskrit : संतोष), also spelled as Santhosh, is a common Hindu male name which is derived from the Sanskrit word “Santōṣa” or Santosha.

 Santosh means satisfaction or contentment and also happiness. 

It is the second of the five yogic principles (Niyama) as listed by Patanjali and provides a foundation for selfless living, wisdom and peace of mind. 

Santosh  is a word of Sanskrit / Sanskrut OR Hindi which means “Satisfaction”. 

In Oriya “Santosha” means gratification.

In Kannada “Santhosha” means Happiness. 

In Tamil Santhosham is happiness.

It is derived from the Sanskrit Santosha, one of the niyamas of yoga. 

 
In Hindu society, it is also used as a name of a male person.

It is a very popular name among Hindu. 

Also written as Santhosh. Santoshi also means the same and used for female name.

Santoshi is also name of a Hindu Goddess. 

Santosh also has other meaning which is “HAPPINESS”. 

Usually, the name is written as Santosh in all parts of India,

only in Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala it’s written as Santhosh. 

In Andhra Pradesh, some people keep ‘Santhosh’ as their child name due to the devotion to Goddess Santhoshimatha, one of the temple for Santhoshimatha is located at the banks of Godavari river, Dharmapuri, Karminager district, Andhra Pradesh. 

  Santhoshimatha vratham is famous in some parts of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, Rajasthan and Panjab which is performed to please the Goddess Santhoshimatha for the birth of children in their home.

Bhatt meaning a priest or scribe in Sanskrit, is a surname common in most parts of India. 

A predominantly Hindu last name, it is found most commonly in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Kumaon and Garhwal in Uttarakhand, Doti, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and some parts of Uttar Pradesh , Bihar and West Bengal.

 Among the communities in India with this last name are the Bhattmewada Brahmins, Avdichya Brahmins, Gouda Saraswat Brahmins Gurjargaur Brahmins, Konkanastha and the Smartha Brahmins.

The earliest reference of Bhatt can be found in Chandragupta‘s empire.

In Mudrarakshasa, while describing different divisions in Chandragupta’s army, a reference can be found to Bhatt-Bala. 

Here Bala means a division, hence Bhatt-Bala would mean a division composed of Bhatt.

Since last Few Decades a group of self proclaimed scholars have declared war against Hinduism in INTERNET forum.

These group consists of communist writers and missionaries of Islam and Christianity. 

Their goal is to make 1 billion plus Hindus to loose  belief in their faith and convert to their believes which they believe is the final message.

The defense force of Sanatan Dharma in the INTERNET forum is very weak. 

As Hindus are less versed in their scriptures they are easy prey to these predator faiths.

 As a Hindu it is my duty to defend my faith.

A Simple Definition Of Contentment

If one was asked to define contentment, how would one do the same?

A very simple and easy to understand, definition of contentment, is:

“At the present moment:

* wherever you are is wherever you are meant to be,

* whatever you are doing is whatever you are meant to be doing and

* whatever everyone else is doing is what they are meant to be doing.”

ITS NOT THE WAY YOU’D LIKE IT….

AND YET ITS…..OK.. the way it is…. NO judgement, expectations or reactions ….

To experience constant contentment, we need to become aware of all the things that make us discontent (dissatisfied) and free ourselves from those things (ideas, opinions, objects, people).

We don’t have to reject them or distance ourselves from them, but a DETACHEMENT from them, a detachment at the level of the consciousness that will bring back our inner freedom.

Detachment is then accompanied by the experience of a deep, inner awareness of satisfaction and stillness, because you stop being dependent on anything or anyone outside ourselves.

It is highly unlikely that we will arrive at this deep state of fulfillment very soon – though we may touch it and experience it temporarily.

It is only by understanding and accepting completely that everything is the way it is meant to be at every moment, both outside our minds and inside our minds that we move closer to being CONTENT.

Nothing you do matters until everything you do counts.
